Julian Avila is a Colombian-American recording artist, guitarist, composer, producer, and internationally acclaimed touring and session musician. Widely recognized for his versatility and musicality, he has built a career performing and recording across jazz, pop, Latin, gospel, and contemporary music at the highest level.

A 2x Latin GRAMMY-winning guitarist, 5x Latin GRAMMY nominee, and GRAMMY Award-nominated guitarist, Julian has established himself as one of the most sought-after musicians in the industry.

Jazz has always been at the heart of Julian’s musical identity. As a solo artist, he has released two instrumental albums, Heart - Mind - Matter and his latest release, Vintage Soul, showcasing his distinctive voice as a guitarist, composer, and producer.

Throughout his career, Julian has performed, toured, and recorded with an impressive roster of internationally renowned artists, including Chayanne, Julieta Venegas, Ceelo Green, Leslie Grace, Luis Fonsi, Aymée Nuviola, BeBe Winans, Jon Secada, Arturo Sandoval, Tony Succar, Sheila E., Isabela Merced, Betty Wright, Jekalyn Carr, Alain Pérez, Coast City, Beatriz Luengo, Manuel Turizo, Gloria Estefan, Diego Torres, José Luis Rodríguez, Cabas, Miami Mass Choir, Jorge Celedón, Ruben Studdard, Santiago Cruz, The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), Daniela Mercury, Vanessa Da Mata, Luis Enrique, Marcos Yaroide, and many others.

Throughout 2024 and 2025, Julian toured extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, performing at prestigious jazz festivals and concert venues in Italy, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Israel, and the United States.

In 2025, Julian was selected as a guitarist for “A GRAMMY® Celebration of Latin Music,” the nationally televised CBS special celebrating the global impact of Latin music. The production featured performances by Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, Gloria Estefan, Luis Fonsi, Ángela Aguilar, Carín León, Nuno Bettencourt, Maren Morris, Aymée Nuviola, Laura Pausini, Prince Royce, Jon Secada, Robin Thicke, Orianthi, Billy Idol, Steve Stevens, The Warning, and the cast of Broadway’s Buena Vista Social Club. The special was co-hosted by Wilmer Valderrama and Roselyn Sánchez and streamed worldwide on Paramount+.

Later that year, Julian returned to the Latin GRAMMY Awards as a member of the prestigious House Band, performing during the Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year Gala honoring legendary Spanish icon Raphael, accompanying an all-star lineup of internationally acclaimed artists.

Whether in the studio, on stage, or leading his own artistic projects, Julian Avila is known for combining technical excellence, expressive musicianship, and an instinctive ability to serve the music. His versatility, professionalism, and distinctive musical voice continue to make him one of today’s most respected guitarists on the international scene.
